What do these terms cover?
These terms cover your use of srilor.com, the website run by Srilor (‘we’, ‘us’). By using the site, you agree to them; if you do not agree, please do not use it. The Srilor app and Island Pass purchases are covered by their own terms and by the rules of the App Store and Google Play.
Can I rely on the information on srilor.com?
We check places with local editors and show when each place was last verified. But fees, opening hours, timetables, roads and rules in Sri Lanka change, sometimes without notice, so information on the site may be out of date or incomplete when you read it.
Use Srilor as a guide, not a guarantee: check fees, opening hours and conditions locally before you go, and tell us if something has changed. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for loss caused by relying on information that has changed.
Who is responsible for my safety when I travel?
You are. Hikes, waterfalls, the sea, wildlife and roads all carry risks that change with the weather and the season. Follow local advice, lifeguard flags, rangers and posted signs, and never take a risk to follow a route or reach a viewpoint described on the site.
Our safety notes are general and do not replace your own judgement, travel insurance or official advice. In an emergency in Sri Lanka, call Police on 119, an ambulance on 1990 or the Tourist Police on 1912.
Is Srilor responsible for websites it links to?
We link to other websites, such as official ticket pages and the app stores, where we think they help you. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, prices or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse everything on that site.
Can I use Srilor’s text, photos and audio?
The text, photos, audio stories, logo and design on srilor.com belong to Srilor or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may read and print pages, and share links to them, for your own non-commercial use. Do not copy, republish or sell our content, or use it to train AI models, without our written permission; write to hello@srilor.com to ask.
Can these terms change?
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add something new to the site. The date on this page shows when they last changed, and if you keep using the site, you accept the current version. Questions about these terms can go to hello@srilor.com.
