Questions travellers ask
Short answers from the people who write Srilor. Something else? Ask us.
Is Srilor free?
Yes. The website is free, and so is the app: places, guides, maps and planning your whole trip, town by town. The first chapter of every audio story is free too. The Island Pass is one payment in the app, nothing monthly: it opens every story in full and keeps places offline with their stories.
Can I plan a Sri Lanka trip in the app for free?
Yes. Tell Srilor when you land, how long you have and what you love, and it lines up your towns and nights with honest drive times between them. Change anything you like. Planning is free for everyone; you book your stays your way.
When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka?
There is always a dry coast. The south and west are best from December to April; the east and north from April to September. When to go shows every month.
Who checks the information?
Local editors who live in Sri Lanka. Every place shows the date its facts were last verified and who verified them.
Which languages does Srilor speak?
Places and guides are in English. Audio stories are told in several languages by a natural voice, and the app plays them in yours when it is recorded, with English as the fallback.
